16-10-2024 – With the guarantee scheme of STO Garant, you pay your travel sum using iDEAL or by bank transfer. The payment does not go directly to the travel organization but to a special third-party account that keeps the money safe until after the trip. Only then does the travel organization receive the funds.

Here, we answer questions about payment methods. These questions mainly come from travelers who are not from the Netherlands.

1. Can I pay with a credit card?

Unfortunately, we do not process credit card or PayPal payments directly. This is because credit card or PayPal payments allow for chargebacks for a long time, and we do not own the money in the secure third-party account. However, you can make a credit card payment to our third-party account via an external service provider, such as Wise.

Here’s how it works: when you choose to pay via bank transfer on our payment page, you will receive the payment details. You can use Wise or another service provider to make the credit card payment to our third-party account.

2. The amount in the payment email is incorrect, what should I do?

Contact the travel organization. They can adjust the amount, and you will receive a new payment email.

3. When will I receive the invoice?

The invoice comes from the travel organization. If you haven't received it, please contact them directly.

4. Can I pay later than the indicated payment deadline?

Please contact the travel organization. They can adjust the payment date if possible.

5. My bank charges fees for the transfer, what should I do?

Any bank fees are your responsibility. We must receive the full amount stated in the payment email on our third-party account. If you have an IBAN account, there are no fees for a transfer.

6. Can I pay in a currency other than euros?

No, all payments must be made in euros.
